POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Barista & Café Team Member, you will help create the warm, welcoming experience Crave is known for. You will prepare beverages, assist guests with menu selections, process orders accurately, serve bakery and café items, maintain a clean workspace, and support the entire team throughout each shift. This is a hands-on café position. Every team member is expected to assist with cleaning, restocking, side work, opening or closing responsibilities, and other tasks necessary to keep the café running smoothly.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Greet every guest warmly and create a welcoming café experience. Accurately take and process in-person, telephone, and online orders. Prepare hot and iced coffee drinks, espresso beverages, signature lattes, teas, smoothies, milkshakes, and other beverages according to Crave recipes and standards. Serve pastries, cupcakes, cookies, muffins, ice cream, breakfast, lunch, and other prepared foods. Learn the Crave menu and confidently answer questions about ingredients, flavors, substitutions, and dietary options. Recommend menu items and thoughtfully suggest upgrades, add-ons, seasonal products, and featured specials. Pay close attention to beverage details, including milk selections, sweetness levels, flavors, and guest modifications. Operate the point-of-sale system and handle cash and electronic payments accurately. Maintain attractive, clean, and fully stocked bakery cases, beverage stations, condiment areas, and dining spaces. Complete all assigned opening, closing, cleaning, restocking, and side-work checklists. Follow food-safety, sanitation, allergen-awareness, and proper food-handling procedures. Assist the kitchen and bakery teams when needed. Respond professionally to guest questions, concerns, and special requests. Attend required training sessions and team meetings. Perform other café duties assigned by management.

EXPERIENCE
Previous barista, café, restaurant, bakery, or customer-service experience is strongly preferred. Experience using commercial espresso and brewing equipment is a plus. We are willing to train an exceptional candidate who demonstrates reliability, strong hospitality skills, initiative, and a genuine willingness to learn.
BONUS SKILLS
Experience creating polished social-media content, short-form videos, product photos, or behind-the-scenes café content is a plus.
SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS
We are currently hiring for morning, afternoon, closing, and weekend shifts. Applicants must be available to work weekends and some holidays. Closing availability is a priority. Current café operating hours are approximately 7:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.; opening and closing duties may extend beyond customer-service hours. Please include your complete weekly availability when applying.
