The ideal candidate will assist with daily coffee shop operations, prepare quality beverages and café items, welcome guests, process orders and payments, maintain a clean workspace, and support team members during busy service periods. Key Responsibilities Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional service. Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently. Prepare coffee, espresso beverages, tea, and specialty drinks according to café standards. Assist with preparing pastries, snacks, and other café menu items as needed. Operate the POS system and process cash and card payments accurately. Answer questions about coffee, beverages, menu items, and available options. Maintain consistent beverage quality, presentation, and portion standards. Keep the coffee bar, counters, tables, and service areas clean and organized. Clean and sanitize coffee equipment, utensils, counters, and workstations. Restock coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, lids, food items, and other supplies. Monitor supplies and communicate low-stock items to café management. Assist with takeout and pickup orders as needed. Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures. Support baristas and other team members during busy service periods. Assist with opening, closing, and daily café cleaning duties. Perform additional responsibilities assigned by café management. Requirements Previous café, coffee shop, restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience is preferred but not required. Basic knowledge of coffee and beverage preparation is a plus. Friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced café environment. Good attention to detail and order accuracy. Basic POS and cash-handling experience is a plus. Ability to follow recipes, procedures, and café standards. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine café tasks. Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Preferred Skills Barista or coffee shop experience. Basic knowledge of espresso and coffee brewing. Strong guest-service and interpersonal skills. Experience using POS systems and handling payments. Ability to multitask during busy service periods. Good organization and time-management skills. Willingness to learn new coffee, beverage, and café skills. Positive attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
