Job Summary 7 Brew Coffee is seeking an experienced, energetic, and guest-focused Head Barista to help lead daily coffee shop operations and maintain high standards of beverage quality and service. The ideal candidate will have strong coffee and espresso skills, excellent leadership abilities, and the ability to train and support team members while creating a fast, friendly, and welcoming experience for every guest. Key Responsibilities Lead daily barista and coffee shop operations during assigned shifts. Prepare espresso, brewed coffee, specialty beverages, and other drinks according to established standards. Maintain consistent beverage quality, recipes, presentation, and portion standards. Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, brewers, and other coffee equipment. Train, coach, and support new and existing baristas. Assign daily tasks and help coordinate team workflow during busy service periods. Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional, and efficient service. Take orders accurately and operate the POS system. Process cash, card, and other payment transactions accurately. Answer questions about coffee, beverages, menu items, and available options. Monitor service speed, order accuracy, and overall café operations. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked coffee bar and service area. Clean and sanitize coffee equipment, utensils, counters, and workstations. Monitor coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, food items, and other supplies. Communicate inventory needs, equipment concerns, and operational issues to management. Assist with opening, closing, and daily cleaning procedures. Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures. Handle guest requests and service concerns professionally. Support promotional activities, special events, and other café initiatives as needed. Perform additional leadership and operational duties assigned by management. Requirements Previous barista experience is required; lead or supervisory experience is strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of espresso preparation, coffee brewing, and beverage service. Friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude. Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced coffee shop environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to beverage quality. Experience using POS systems and handling payments. Ability to train, motivate, and support café team members. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine café tasks. Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Preferred Skills Head barista, lead barista, shift lead, or café supervisor experience. Strong espresso and specialty coffee preparation skills. Knowledge of coffee beans, grind settings, extraction, and brewing methods. Experience training and coaching baristas. Strong guest-service and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize during busy service periods. Inventory and supply-management experience. Good organization and time-management skills. Ability to maintain café standards with minimal supervision. Positive attitude and commitment to teamwork and hospitality.
