Tasting Room Associate The Williamsburg Winery Position Summary:
The Williamsburg Winery is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Tasting Room Associates to deliver exceptional guest experiences. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy engaging with guests, leading guided tastings and tours, and maintaining a polished, welcoming environment. Full-time availability is strongly preferred , though part-time candidates may be considered based on scheduling needs.Key Responsibilities:
Provide warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable service to all guests Lead guided wine tastings and tours of the winery Educate guests on wine profiles, pairings, and winery history Prepare and serve wine flights in accordance with service standards Assist guests with wine purchases, memberships, and general inquiries Maintain cleanliness and organization of tasting areas, bar, and retail spaces Restock wine, merchandise, and provisions as needed Operate POS system accurately for transactions Support opening and closing procedures Assist with special events, group tastings, and private experiences as needed Ensure responsible alcohol service and compliance with all applicable lawsQualifications:
Previous customer service, hospitality, or retail experience preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Interest in wine; prior wine knowledge is a plus (training provided) Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs Must be at least 21 years of age Availability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts Why Join Us?
