A Barista prepares and serves coffee and other beverages at coffee houses or coffee bars. Takes customer orders, serves baked goods and snacks, runs and maintains coffee making equipment and monitors supplies.
The Muse Whiskey & Coffee, an upscale, speakeasy-style whiskey and coffee bar, is currently seeking experienced and skilled Baristas to join our team on a full-time basis. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee and tea, as well as providing exceptional customer service to our guests.
Responsibilities:
Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing recommendations and educating them on our drink menu Prepare and serve beverages according to established standards and recipes, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including brewing equipment, utensils, and serving areas, and report any health and safety hazards to the manager on duty Assist in maintaining service areas and dining rooms in a clean, neat, and orderly manner, including serving, clearing, and resetting tables as needed Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu specials or ideas to increase revenue Receive and process payments accurately and efficiently Maintain stock of coffee bar items, such as cups, plates, and syrups, and ensure they are merchandised, rotated, and stored according to established standards Fine tune your skills and craft through ongoing training and development opportunities Other duties as directed by the manager on duty This position will include at least one on-call shift per week
Qualifications:
21+ years of age 1+ years experience as a Barista or in a similar customer service role Knowledge of brewing equipment and techniques, as well as coffee and tea varieties Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment Ability to stand/walk for 8-10 hours per day. Ability to start work day at 6:00 A.M. PST/PDT Will frequently reach, feel, bend, stoop, carry, finely manipulate and key in data. Ability to lift up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Part-Time. Minimum Wage +
