Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team at DIY Tea Lab Cafe in Kirkland. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality bubble tea and food items. Your ability to provide excellent customer service and maintain food safety standards will contribute to the overall success of our café. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards. Operate cash registers and POS systems to process customer transactions accurately. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment, and dining areas. Assist with food handling and preparation while adhering to food safety guidelines. Engage with customers, take orders, and provide recommendations based on their preferences. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during shifts. Experience Previous experience in a barista or food service role is preferred but not required. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and managing orders accurately. Familiarity with Bubble Tea preparation techniques and equipment is a plus. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of food safety practices related to food handling and preparation is essential.
