Overview Cafe Monarch is seeking a poised, detail-oriented Barback to support our bar and service team in delivering an exceptional guest experience. In our elegant, wine-focused environment, the barback plays a key role not only behind the scenes—but in full view of our guests. As such, the ideal candidate must be well-groomed, well-spoken, and highly attentive , with a polished presence that aligns with our elevated standards of service. Responsibilities Wash, polish, and organize crystal stemware to maintain pristine glassware presentation Assist with bar setup and breakdown , ensuring all elements are in place and impeccably arranged Provide refined water service to bar guests, offering quiet support throughout their experience Clear and re-set plateware and silverware at the bar between courses with speed and discretion Prepare and serve espresso drinks with consistency and care, upholding our quality standards Restock bar tools, supplies, and garnishes efficiently throughout service Maintain a spotless and orderly bar environment, adhering to health, safety, and aesthetic standards Conduct all duties with professionalism and poise, understanding visibility to guests is constant Qualifications Previous barback or restaurant support experience in upscale or fine dining settings preferred Experience preparing espresso beverages in a professional setting a plus Exceptional attention to detail and care, particularly when handling fine crystal and serviceware Polished appearance and professional communication skills required Strong work ethic and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment Willingness to learn and adapt, with a sincere commitment to hospitality Evening, weekend, and holiday availability required Join a team that takes pride in delivering seamless, gracious service at one of Scottsdale's most acclaimed fine dining destinations.
