JuXi (pronounced juicy/joo-see) is a Cantonese-inspired restaurant in the heart of Alameda, named after the parents of our chef and owner. Our food represents a new generation of Cantonese+American cooking, rooted in the flavors we grew up with and shaped by our lives in Alameda. Some dishes stay close to tradition, while others draw inspiration from the Bay Area's diverse food culture. Our dishes lean on California's seasons and the local farms and producers we're lucky to collaborate with. What You'll Do:
Run bar service with team during dinner service Develop and execute seasonal cocktail menus that complement our kitchen Maintain liquor, beer, and wine inventory, and control costs Train and schedule bar staff while upholding service and quality standards Handle cash/credit transactions, nightly reports, and bar-side sidework Ensure compliance with CA ABC laws, RBS standards, and health codes Collaborate with chefs and management on pairings, events, and specials Keep the bar clean, organized, and stocked — you set the standard
What We're Looking For:
2+ years bartending experience, with 1+ year in a lead or supervisory role preferably Deep knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, sake, beer, and wine Experience building cocktail menus and managing inventory preferred CA Food Handler Card and RBS certification required Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills Ability to lift 50 lbs and work nights, weekends, and holidays Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
