Lead Bartender Stone Groove | Anaheim, CA Hourly + Tips | Evening Shifts Stone Groove is looking for an experienced Lead Bartender to help set the standard behind our bar and be a strong presence during service. We are a small, independent Hi-Fi music bar and restaurant in Anaheim with a serious cocktail program, curated spirits, vinyl DJs and selectors, and a hospitality-driven approach to service. This is a hands-on bartending position , not a traditional management role. The Lead Bartender will work regular bar shifts, participate directly in service, and help maintain consistency, organization, and standards behind the bar. Schedule & Availability We are looking for someone with strong availability Wednesday through Sunday evenings , with Friday and Saturday availability required . Because this is our lead bar position, we need someone who can be a consistent presence throughout our operating week rather than someone looking only for occasional shifts. What You'll Do Bartend during regular service and private events Help lead the bar during busy services through experience, communication, and example Maintain consistency in cocktail recipes, technique, presentation, and hospitality Help train and onboard bartenders on cocktail specifications, bar systems, service standards, and opening/closing procedures Maintain bar organization, cleanliness, prep standards, and station readiness Help monitor liquor, wine, beer, mixers, garnishes, and bar supplies Assist with inventory counts and communicate ordering needs to ownership Help maintain recipe documentation and cocktail specifications Identify operational issues during service and communicate them to ownership/management Help troubleshoot guest-service issues and keep service moving efficiently Support private events, tastings, and specialty cocktail programs Bring ideas and experience to the continued development of the Stone Groove bar program What This Role Is Not This is a Lead Bartender position rather than a managerial position . Hiring, termination, formal disciplinary decisions, employee scheduling, compensation decisions, and other management-level employment decisions are handled by ownership/management. We are looking for someone who can be a leader behind the bar without needing a traditional management title. What We're Looking For Minimum 3+ years of craft cocktail bartending experience Strong knowledge of classic cocktails and proper specifications Comfortable working in a high-volume restaurant/bar environment Excellent understanding of spirits, particularly whiskey Strong organization, cleanliness, and bar-operation habits Able to maintain quality and composure during busy Friday and Saturday services Experience training or mentoring other bartenders strongly preferred Comfortable giving constructive guidance and helping maintain established standards Strong hospitality instincts and ability to read a room Reliable, professional, and accountable Strong Wednesday-Sunday evening availability Friday and Saturday availability required Interest in music, vinyl, cocktails, whiskey, or hospitality culture is a plus About Stone Groove Stone Groove is an intimate Hi-Fi bar and restaurant built around music, cocktails, food, and hospitality. Our bar program includes original cocktails, classics, beer and wine, and our own Musically Mastered™ whiskey and spirits. Our weekends are energetic and busy, but we are a bar and restaurant—not a nightclub. We are looking for someone who understands polished hospitality while still bringing personality and energy to the room. Compensation Hourly wage + tips Compensation will be based on experience. This position is ideal for an experienced bartender who wants more responsibility and influence over the quality of a bar program while remaining primarily behind the bar and earning tips.
