Bartender KSC Brea Brea, CA Job Details Part-time $16.90 - $18.00 an hour 14 hours ago Qualifications Guest relations Bar cleaning Bar supply restocking High school diploma or GED Food Handler Certification Full Job Description Main Purpose of Job Provide warm, efficient, and knowledgeable bar service to guests at the bar and in the dining room. Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and brand standards, support the bar and service bar during peak periods, and help drive bar sales and PPA (per person average) while practicing responsible alcohol service and protecting beverage COGS. Greet guests promptly at the bar with a friendly, professional demeanor Prepare and serve all alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to recipe specs, ensuring consistent taste, presentation, and timing for bar and dining room guests. Deliver warm, professional hospitality at the bar: greet promptly, recommend drinks, engage guests, handle concerns, and help drive higher PPA through suggestive selling. Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar, completing all opening, closing, and sidework duties according to checklists. Accurately use the POS and follow all cash/comp/void procedures while protecting beverage COGS through proper portion control and minimizing waste. Follow all alcohol service, food safety, and sanitation regulations, working closely with servers, runners, and barbacks to support smooth, safe service. Experience 1-2+ years of bartending experience in a high-volume or full-service restaurant/bar preferred. Skills Strong guest service and communication skills; comfortable engaging with guests at the bar. Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistent drink quality. Comfortable multitasking and working under pressure during peak periods. Basic POS proficiency and accurate cash handling Certifications Current Food Handler certification (or ability to obtain promptly). Current alcohol service certification (e.g., RBS/ABC or local equivalent) required. Availability Nights, weekends, and holidays required. Language English required; additional languages a plus. Physical Requirements Stand and walk for the entire shift; frequent bending, reaching, and carrying. Lift and move up to 40 lbs (cases, kegs, CO₂ tanks, glass racks).
