This position combines bartending and table service, providing guests with an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. We specialize in slow-smoked BBQ and smoked meats, paired with an extensive beverage selection featuring 25 craft beers on tap and 8 wines on tap. This is not a full liquor bar—no cocktail mixing is required. Instead, we're looking for someone who enjoys serving great food, pouring quality beer and wine, engaging with guests, and creating a welcoming atmosphere. Responsibilities Greet guests and provide friendly, attentive service throughout their visit. Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently. Serve our selection of 25 craft beers on tap and 8 wines on tap while following responsible alcohol service guidelines. Deliver food and beverages promptly, ensuring an exceptional dining experience. Develop knowledge of our smoked meats, menu items, beers, and wines to make recommendations and answer guest questions. Process payments accurately using the POS system. Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar and dining area. Restock beer, wine, glassware, condiments, and other supplies as needed. Check IDs and comply with all California alcohol service laws and company policies. Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and side work. Work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house team to ensure smooth service. Provide outstanding hospitality and help create a fun, welcoming atmosphere for every guest. Skills Extensive knowledge of wine varieties, brewing processes, spirits, mixology techniques, and beverage recipe development. Proven experience in fine dining environments or hospitality industry roles with a focus on food service or bar management. Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for processing transactions efficiently. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while providing expert beverage recommendations. Complete all opening and closing duties, including cleaning, stocking, sanitizing, and preparing the bar and dining areas for service. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders during peak hours without compromising quality or speed. Experience in food safety practices, food handling, and adhering to health regulations within the food industry. Familiarity with retail math for inventory control, cash handling procedures, and basic math skills necessary for accurate billing.
