Job Description
Componere Culinary & Events is seeking experienced, energetic, and hospitality-driven Bartenders and Bar Backs to join our team for one of California's premier luxury events in Carmel Valley on Friday, August 14, 2026. This is an opportunity to work providing exceptional beverage service in a fast-paced, upscale event environment. We are looking for professionals who take pride in hospitality, enjoy working as part of a team, and are committed to delivering an outstanding guest experience. What We're Looking For Successful candidates are friendly, dependable, and professional with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail. You should be comfortable working in a high-volume event setting while maintaining exceptional service standards and a polished appearance. Previous experience in catering, events, banquets, fine dining, hotels, wineries, or high-caliber restaurants is strongly preferred. Bartender Responsibilities Prepare and serve beer, wine, and cocktails in accordance with event standards. Provide friendly, efficient, and professional guest service. Verify guest age and comply with all California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) requirements. Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout the event. Accurately handle beverage service while working efficiently during high-volume periods. Communicate effectively with bar backs, captains, and event leadership. Bar Back Responsibilities Restock beer, wine, liquor, mixers, garnishes, ice, glassware, and supplies throughout service. Assist bartenders in maintaining an organized and efficient bar. Keep bars clean, stocked, and ready for service at all times. Remove empty bottles, trash, and used glassware Assist with event setup and breakdown Lift and transport beverage cases, ice, and equipment safely Qualifications Strong customer service and communication skills Professional appearance and positive attitude Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds Reliable transportation to
