Position Overview:
We're seeking a Host/ID Checker/Barback hybrid to help create a memorable and safe experience for our guests. You'll be the first face they see, the guardian of good vibes, and an essential part of the bar operations.
Duties include:
HOST DUTIES
Greeting guests warmly and managing entry Checking IDs to ensure guests meet age requirements Monitoring guest behavior for safety and compliance Assisting bartenders with restocking, prepping garnishes, glassware, and maintaining cleanliness Bussing tables and helping maintain an orderly, upbeat environment Assisting Guests with arcade, console gaming, and other entertainment as needed Jumping in to help wherever needed to keep the night running smoothly
BARBACK DUTIES
Restock and replenish bar inventory (liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, glassware, ice, etc.) throughout service Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including wiping surfaces, washing glassware, and removing trash Assist bartenders with preparing garnishes and basic drink ingredients Ensure kegs, coolers, and storage areas are fully stocked and rotated properly Clear empty glasses, dishes, and barware to keep the bar top and guest areas tidy Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines Support bartenders during high-volume periods with setup, breakdown, and restocking Provide general assistance as directed by bartenders or bar management
Requirements:
21 years of age or older Must have a current California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification (or willingness to obtain before start date) Friendly, confident, and professional demeanor Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays Able to lift 30+ lbs and stay on your feet for long shifts Team-oriented attitude and a passion for providing excellent guest service Previous barback, hosting, or security experience is required. Experience Checking IDs in an alcohol setting
