You will be responsible for providing quality guest hospitality and service to the guests in the bar area. You are also responsible for the overall cleanliness and organization of the bar area, along with taking food and drink orders from bar guests. You must be able to prepare and serve beverages efficiently and properly, as well as upsell our offerings during the dining experience. The duties of a Bartender include, but are not limited to, the following: Greeting guests with a warm welcome and a fond farewell; engage them in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner. Provide exceptional guest hospitality and service to ensure guests enjoy their experience. Learn and maintain expert knowledge of the food, wine, and beverage menus, along with general restaurant/property knowledge; able to answer guest questions and provide recommendations. Follow all steps of service as defined by company SOPs. Take guest food and/or beverage orders, input orders into point-of-sale (POS) system. Handle cash and credit card transactions, ensure charges are accurate and maintain a balanced cash bank. Suggestively upsell menu items, specials, beverages, and desserts to enhance profitability. Selecting and mixing ingredients, garnishing glasses, and offering customized beverage recommendations. Familiar with the latest in mixology, bar equipment and sanitation standards with the focus on maintaining a clean and attractive bar. Address and resolve any guest complaints; notify management ASAP about any unresolved guest complaints that they need to handle. Always maintain a composed and professional attitude. Become familiar with all returning guests, know their preferences and special requests. Perform other related duties that may be assigned by Management. At least 2 years of bartending experience preferred. RBS and Food Handlers certified. Must be at least 21 years of age. Must be organized and able to multi-task. Basic math and computer skills. Possess an energetic, positive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, team environment. Able to communicate with individuals from different backgrounds, using strong interpersonal skills. Ability to learn the menu thoroughly and answer food and beverage related questions from guests. Able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time. Can perform high quality work while unsupervised. Able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food and other items. Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products. Maintain regular and punctual attendance. Be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as dictated by business demands. Willingly perform other reasonable tasks and duties as assigned by Management.
