Tavern 242 is looking for an experienced, friendly, and dependable Bartender to provide excellent service to our guests in a fast-paced, full-service restaurant environment. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, taking food and drink orders, providing knowledgeable recommendations, and creating a welcoming experience for guests seated at the bar and throughout the restaurant. You will work closely with servers, managers, and kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate service. The ideal candidate is personable, efficient, attentive to detail, and able to manage multiple guests and service tickets while maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar. Responsibilities Greet guests promptly with a friendly and welcoming attitude. Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system. Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages according to company recipes and standards. Prepare drinks for both bar guests and restaurant service tickets efficiently and accurately. Provide menu and beverage recommendations and answer guest questions. Check identification and responsibly serve alcohol in accordance with Colorado law and company policies. Monitor guest alcohol consumption and recognize when service should be slowed or discontinued. Process guest checks and payments accurately and in a timely manner. Maintain a clean, sanitary, organized, and properly stocked bar throughout each shift. Complete opening, running, and closing side work as assigned. Restock liquor, beer, wine, glassware, garnishes, and other bar supplies as needed. Assist with bussing, cleaning, food running, and other restaurant duties when necessary. Communicate and collaborate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management. Address guest concerns professionally and involve a manager when appropriate. Follow all food safety, sanitation, alcohol service, cash-handling, and company policies. Requirements Previous bartending or full-service restaurant experience preferred. Knowledge of common cocktails, beer, wine, and responsible alcohol service. Experience handling cash and processing guest payments. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Strong attention to cleanliness, sanitation, and safety. Excellent communication and customer-service skills. Friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude. Dependable, responsible, and trustworthy. Ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled. High school diploma or equivalent is a plus but not required. We are currently looking for full-time team members. Compensation Hourly wage plus tips. Training is paid at the applicable training/minimum wage rate. Benefits Employee discount. Experience Bartending:
1 year preferred.
Full-service restaurant experience:
