In this role, you will craft and serve a variety of beverages, provide exceptional customer service, and create a lively atmosphere that keeps guests coming back. Your knowledge of mixology and making drinks, and a dive bar environment will be key to delivering memorable experiences. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your skills in a dynamic setting in a popular neighborhood bar in The Black Rock area. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits, following established recipes and standards. Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to ensure excellent customer service and build rapport. Manage POS (Point of Sale) systems to process cash transactions accurately and efficiently. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards at all times. Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies as needed, and communicate supply needs to management. Handle cash processing, register reconciliation, and accurate math calculations for sales transactions. Support bar management in maintaining compliance with alcohol laws and safety regulations. Assist with food service when necessary, including serving snacks or small plates during busy hours. Contribute to a lively atmosphere by engaging in responsible service practices when applicable. Experience Will train, can be a newer bartender Strong knowledge of mixology techniques, cocktail recipes, wine varieties, craft beer styles, and spirits. Familiarity with POS systems Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle multiple orders efficiently under pressure. Experience in food safety practices and adherence to sanitation standards within the food industry.
