Hourly + tips (discussed during interview) About The Lazy Lobster The Lazy Lobster is a seafood-focused restaurant in Milford, CT, known for warm hospitality, great food, and a relaxed coastal vibe. We're looking for friendly, dependable Servers who enjoy providing excellent guest experiences in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Key Responsibilities Greet guests promptly, introduce yourself, and create a welcoming experience Guide guests through the menu, including daily specials; make recommendations and answer questions Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system Communicate clearly with the kitchen and bar to ensure correct and timely service Deliver food and drinks efficiently; check in to ensure satisfaction and resolve issues quickly Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, server stations, and dining areas Handle guest payments accurately, including cash/credit transactions Follow all food safety and sanitation standards (including proper alcohol service) Support teammates as needed (running food, bussing, resetting tables, side work) Help maintain a positive, respectful, and professional workplace Qualifications & Skills Prior serving experience preferred (but we will train the right candidate) Strong communication and guest-service skills Ability to multitask and stay calm in a busy setting Team-oriented, punctual, and dependable Comfortable standing/walking for long periods and carrying trays/plates Basic math skills and comfort using a POS system Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed Must meet CT legal requirements for serving alcohol (if applicable) What We're Looking For A positive attitude and genuine hospitality Attention to detail and pride in providing great service Flexibility and willingness to jump in where needed Someone who helps create an inviting experience that keeps guests coming back Benefits/Perks (Optional — customize as needed) Employee meal discounts Flexible scheduling Growth opportunities within the restaurant Supportive, team-focused environment
