We're passionate about crafting quality kava and kratom beverages in an atmosphere built around community, good energy, and genuine hospitality. As we continue to expand, we're looking for a dedicated manager to help lead our team and uphold the standards that make Riptidez a destination. Responsibilities Ensure full compliance with food safety standards, sanitation protocols, and health regulations governing food handling and beverage preparation Analyze profit and loss statements to identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost savings while upholding high standards of service quality Foster a positive, professional, and drama-free environment that supports both staff well-being and an excellent guest experience Provide reliable shift coverage as needed, including stepping in during unexpected staff absences to ensure smooth, uninterrupted operations Develop creative event concepts and promotions to drive foot traffic and grow the customer base Proactively identify and pursue new avenues for customer acquisition and community engagement Leverage social media platforms to promote events, run targeted ad campaigns, and strengthen brand visibility Requirements Genuine passion for and connection to the kava community, with a strong working knowledge of kava culture and the industry — this is essential to success in the role Proven experience in food preparation, quick-service/fast-food restaurant management, or hospitality management with supervisory responsibilities Proficiency with POS systems such as Clover and Toast; strong cash-handling experience required Solid background in inventory control, beverage safety management, and proper beverage handling procedures Prior management experience in casual dining or bar environments; hotel or catering experience is a plus Strong team leadership skills, including staff training, interviewing, shift supervision, and development of team members Knowledge of kava and kratom beverage preparation; bar or coffee/barista experience highly desirable Comfortable with basic math for budgeting, pricing, and financial analysis Excellent customer service skills with a talent for creating a welcoming atmosphere for a diverse clientele Strong communication skills appropriate for a managerial role in hospitality, with the ability to lead training and development initiatives Flexibility and willingness to adjust availability as business needs require Social media savvy, with hands-on experience running paid ad campaigns and promoting events across platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok)
