About the
Job:
The Seagate is seeking an experienced and service-driven Lead Bartender to oversee daily bar operations and deliver an exceptional guest experience. This role is responsible for maintaining high standards of beverage quality, service, and compliance while leading by example behind the bar. The ideal candidate brings a strong mixology background, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with the service team in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
What You Do:
Oversee daily bar operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and register control. Complete all bar setup and breakdown procedures in accordance with standard operating procedures. Maintain control and organization of the bar area throughout scheduled shifts. Prepare, mix, and serve beverages according to approved recipes and guest preferences. Create and update cocktail menus to enhance the overall guest experience. Maintain thorough knowledge of beverage offerings, recipes, and service standards. Manage bar inventory, stock levels, requisitions, and proper storage of all beverages and supplies. Ensure bar equipment, glassware, and work areas are clean, organized, and properly maintained. Attend responsible vendor training and ensure compliance with all local and state beverage laws. Uphold all health, safety, and sanitation standards at all times. Collaborate closely with servers, bartenders, and leadership to ensure seamless service. Adhere to all hotel policies, procedures, and service standards. Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational needs. What You Bring to the
Table:
Alcohol server certification required (or ability to obtain per company policy). Previous bartending experience with strong cash handling and mathematical skills. Solid knowledge of mixology, beverage preparation, and service techniques. Professional appearance with polished communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently and accurately. Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills. Ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve issues using sound judgment. Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently when needed. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of guest and company information. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varied schedules. Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 30 lbs, and perform repetitive motions as required.
