Job Description

Boston House Restaurant is seeking an experienced Craft Cocktail Bartender to join our front-of-house team. We are an elevated Americana restaurant and bar with a strong focus on hospitality, quality ingredients, and thoughtfully executed cocktails. This is not an entry-level bartending position. We are looking for someone who already understands craft cocktail service and can step behind the bar with confidence, professionalism, and a strong sense of urgency. What We're Looking For Qualified candidates should have: Previous craft cocktail bartending experience required Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, modifiers, proper techniques, and cocktail builds Understanding of wines, and how to properly pair them with food. Ability to accurately follow house recipes and specifications Experience working efficiently during high-volume service Strong understanding of bar setup, prep, stocking, cleanliness, and closing procedures Current responsible alcohol-service certification such as ServSafe Alcohol, TIPS, or equivalent Excellent guest-service and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with bartenders, servers, barbacks, and management Reliability, punctuality, and professional appearance Ability to maintain quality and consistency even when the bar is busy Willingness and ability to work both indoor and outdoor bar/service areas Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs require What Success Looks Like Here We're looking for a bartender who doesn't need to be taught the fundamentals of bartending. You should know how to build a balanced cocktail, handle multiple tickets without sacrificing quality, keep your station organized, communicate with the service team, engage guests appropriately, and recognize what needs to be done without waiting to be asked. We value bartenders who take pride in their craft without bringing an ego behind the bar. Our ideal candidate is someone who is: Experienced. Fast. Clean. Consistent. Personable. Dependable. You should be equally comfortable discussing bourbon with a guest, executing a craft cocktail to specification, handling a busy service well, and jumping in wherever the team needs you.
