Situated on oceanfront Collins Avenue in the heart of Millionaire's Row, Fontainebleau Miami Beach is one of the most historically and architecturally significant hotels on Miami Beach. Opened in 1954 and designed by Morris Lapidus, it was the most luxurious hotel on Miami Beach, and is thought to be the most significant building of Lapidus' career. Responsibilities Take drink orders from guests and serve drinks. Mix ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks according to standard recipes. Serve wine and draft or bottled beer. Collect form of payment for drinks served. Adhere to the proper par stock ordering procedures. Complete and oversee set-up and clearing of the bar area. Monitor and train apprentices. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Knowledge and use of flare bartending skills. Knowledge of all liquor laws and regulations concerning the service of alcoholic beverages. Strong knowledge of wines and spirits. Ability to perform basic math skills. Ability to handle money and make correct changes. Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members. Knowledge, understanding, and compliance of policies and procedures, job descriptions, daily memorandums, chemical labels, and other instructions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school education or equivalent. Relevant experience in high-quality, high-volume operation preferred.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSE
Alcohol Responsible Vendor Training Food Handler Certification
