Position SummaryThe Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while delivering friendly, attentive service in a fast-paced beachside restaurant environment. This role requires strong product knowledge, efficiency behind the bar, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests while supporting servers and maintaining Sandestins service standards.

Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesPrepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and resort standardsProvide engaging, professional service to bar guests and dining room patronsMaintain full knowledge of beverage menus, specialty cocktails, beer, and wine offeringsMonitor guest consumption and ensure responsible alcohol serviceAccurately enter orders into POS and process guest paymentsMaintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout serviceAssist servers with beverage orders in a timely mannerMonitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needsSet up and break down bar area including opening and closing dutiesFollow all sanitation, safety, and alcohol compliance regulationsCreate a fun, welcoming environment consistent with the Beach Houses casual coastal atmosphereCollaborate with restaurant leadership and team members to ensure seamless serviceQualificationsPrevious bartending experience preferred, ideally in a high-volume or resort environmentKnowledge of classic cocktails, beer, and wine serviceStrong and Clear communication and multitasking skillsAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced settingProfessional appearance and positive, guest-focused attitudeBasic math and cash handling skillsMust be dependable and able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidaysFood Handler and Responsible Alcohol Service certifications required (or ability to obtain)Work EnvironmentCombination of indoor bar and open-air beachfront service areasExposure to heat, humidity, wind, sun, and changing weather conditionsFast-paced resort environment with high seasonal guest volumeStanding bar service with frequent guest interactionPhysical RequirementsStand for extended periods (up to 8+ hours per shift)Frequently lift and carry cases, kegs, and bar supplies up to 40 lbsContinuous reaching, bending, twisting, and hand movementAbility to work quickly and safely in tight bar spacesWork outdoors in varying weather conditions as well as indoorsMaintain stamina during high-volume service periodsSafely handle glassware, bar tools, and beverage equipmentEOE M/D/F/V
