Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage reservation bookings using restaurant table management systems to ensure efficient seating flow. Maintain cleanliness of dining areas by bussing tables promptly and resetting them for new guests, adhering to food safety standards. Support bartenders by preparing garnishes, restocking supplies, and assisting with drink service when needed. Assist in dishwashing duties to ensure all kitchenware and utensils are sanitized and available for food preparation and service. Manage phone communication with guests for reservations, inquiries, or takeout orders while demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills. Support guest relations by providing friendly, attentive service and addressing guest needs promptly to enhance their overall experience. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations, including POS system usage such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing. Experience Previous experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant setting is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key! Familiarity with restaurant reservation management systems and POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in person and over the phone. Basic math skills for handling tabs, cash transactions, or POS operations accurately. Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper sanitation procedures is beneficial. Experience in food service or hospitality roles that demonstrate guest relations abilities will help you excel in this role.
