Full-Time Bartender Purple Olive Restaurant & Catering - St. Augustine, FL Purple Olive is looking for an experienced, personable Bartender to join our team. This position combines guest-facing bartending with service bar responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who enjoys creating an exceptional guest experience while supporting the dining room during busy service. We are a chef-driven, locally owned restaurant known for handcrafted cocktails, an outstanding wine list, exceptional food, and genuine hospitality. Position Full-time 4-5 evening shifts per week (weekends required) Competitive hourly wage plus tips Employee dining discounts Supportive, team-oriented workplace Opportunity for growth with an established and growing restaurant Responsibilities Welcome guests and provide friendly, attentive bar service. Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages to bar guests. Prepare beverages promptly and accurately for the dining room service bar. Build relationships with guests while maintaining efficient service. Maintain complete knowledge of our food, wine, beer, and cocktail menus. Make recommendations and guide guests through beverage selections. Monitor guest satisfaction and provide exceptional hospitality throughout their visit. Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar at all times. Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and ice throughout the shift. Follow all recipes, sanitation standards, and responsible alcohol service practices. Complete opening and closing side work. Work closely with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth service. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of bartending experience in a full-service restaurant preferred. Strong knowledge of cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits. Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment while maintaining attention to detail. Friendly, outgoing personality with excellent communication skills. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented. Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 pounds. Must meet all Florida alcohol service requirements.
