Part-Time Theatre Bartender & Concessions Staff Marietta's Theatre in the Square is seeking multiple friendly, dependable, and customer-focused team members to join our Front of House team as Bartenders and Concessions Staff. Marietta's Theatre in the Square is a professional live theatre dedicated to creating engaging theatrical experiences in a welcoming environment. We believe the audience experience begins the moment guests walk through our doors—not just when the curtain rises. Our Bartender and Concessions Staff help create that experience by welcoming patrons, preparing and serving beverages and concessions, processing purchases, and helping keep our lobby and service areas running smoothly.
First Day:
Friday, September 25, 2026 Position Responsibilities Team members will be assigned to the bar, concession stand, or a combination of both depending on the needs of each performance.
Bar Responsibilities:
Set up and prepare the bar prior to each performance Serve beer and wine to theatre patrons Check identification and follow all applicable alcohol-service requirements Process cash and electronic payments accurately Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable bar area Monitor and restock beverage inventory as needed Provide fast and friendly service before performances and during intermission Clean and reset the bar following each performance
Concessions Responsibilities:
Set up the concession stand prior to performances Sell snacks, candy, soft drinks, water, and other concession items Process cash and electronic payments accurately Restock concession products and supplies Maintain a clean and organized concession area Assist patrons and answer basic questions when needed Support the bar during busy periods when appropriate Clean and reset the concession area following performances All Front of House team members are expected to provide excellent customer service and work collaboratively to make sure patrons have a welcoming and enjoyable theatre experience. Performance Schedule & Hours This is a part-time, show-based position. Work schedules are based on the theatre's production calendar.
Our standard performance schedule is:
Friday:
8:00 PM performance
Saturday:
3:00 PM and 8:00 PM performances
Sunday:
3:00 PM performance Call time is two hours before each performance to allow time for setup, stocking, preparation, and opening the Front of House areas. Most productions run approximately two hours . Staff are released after the performance has ended and all required cleaning, restocking, and closing responsibilities have been completed. Saturdays may include both a matinee and evening performance. Applicants should be comfortable with a performance-based schedule that primarily includes weekends and evenings. Qualifications Previous customer service, concessions, restaurant, hospitality, or retail experience preferred Basic bartending or beverage-service experience required for employees assigned to the bar Experience serving beer and wine is preferred Comfortable handling cash and electronic payments Ability to learn and operate a point-of-sale system Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work efficiently during busy pre-show and intermission periods Dependable and punctual Able to maintain a professional and welcoming demeanor with patrons Bartenders must meet all legal requirements for serving alcohol Must be available for evening and weekend performances Who We're Looking For We are hiring multiple team members for this position. Some employees may primarily work the bar, some may primarily work concessions, and others may rotate between both areas. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, can move quickly when a crowd arrives, and understands that great customer service is an important part of the theatre experience.
