Job Summary Ferguson's Irish Pub is seeking a friendly, dependable, and experienced Pub Bartender to join our hospitality team. The successful candidate will prepare and serve beverages, provide professional service to guests, process orders and payments, maintain a clean and organized bar, and support smooth pub operations. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a lively pub environment, has strong communication skills, and can provide consistent service while working efficiently during busy shifts. Key Responsibilities Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional service Prepare and serve beer, wine, cocktails, mixed drinks, and non-alcoholic beverages Take beverage and food orders accurately and efficiently Operate the POS system and process cash and card payments accurately Maintain knowledge of beverages, menu items, and daily specials Answer guest questions and provide helpful recommendations Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area Restock beer, spirits, wine, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and other supplies Prepare garnishes and basic beverage ingredients as needed Monitor bar supplies and communicate low-stock items to management Follow responsible alcohol-service practices and applicable regulations Verify identification when required by applicable laws and company procedures Maintain clean glassware, utensils, bar tools, and equipment Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures Assist with opening, closing, and bar-cleaning duties Work closely with servers, kitchen staff, and management during busy periods Handle guest requests and concerns in a polite and professional manner Perform other duties assigned by pub management Requirements Previous bartending, pub, restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred Knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, cocktails, and beverage service Friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced pub environment Basic POS and cash-handling experience Strong attention to detail and order accuracy Knowledge of responsible alcohol-service practices Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine physical tasks Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Preferred Skills Previous pub or bar bartending experience Knowledge of Irish pub-style beverage service is a plus Cocktail preparation and drink-mixing experience Strong beer and spirits knowledge Excellent guest-service skills Ability to multitask during busy service periods Experience with POS systems and payment processing Good organization and time-management skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team Positive attitude and professional appearance Benefits Benefits may vary based on position, location, employment status, and eligibility.
