Job Description

Our Cross Trained staff either bartend, serve, cook or train at multiple positions. When they are functioning as bartenders, they are responsible for pouring, serving and collecting payment for all drinks and food requested by customers at the bar. While in the kitchen, they are responsible for preparing food items according to our standards of quality, consistency and timeliness. While serving they meet all of the customers wants and needs to ensure an exceptional dining experience. In addition to the hourly rate, this position has full access to the tip pool based on the number of hours worked. Duties and Responsibilities Welcome and greet customers as they arrive. Check ID's to ensure legal drinking age. Pour beers and create mixed drinks Be knowledgeable about Backpocket / Driftless products (beer, merchandise and food). Complete Iowa Program for Alcohol Compliance Training Assess customers for signs of intoxication and respond accordingly Make beer recommendations to customers Keep bar glassware clean. Maintain a neat and organized bar. Clear tables Report broken arcade machines to Lead Take out trash Complete opening and closing checklists Attend monthly staff meetings Greet customers when they pick up their food Prepare food to order and responds to additional requests by preparing orders to their specifications Direct customers to utensils, buzzer drop off Complete assigned prep tasks Keep kitchen area clean Complete Servsafe Food Handling certification within first month of employment Ensures compliance with all health codes and requirements Maintains stocking (re-stocking) and organization of work area daily Completes prep tasks as needed in accordance with recipe, procedure, quality and speed standards Contributes to positive food costs by utilizing established best practices Maintains food storage, receiving, stocking and rotation. Other duties as assigned
