Event Bartender (Part-Time)
Job Type:
Part-Time / Event-Based (Flexible, seasonal peaks)
Pay Rate:
$7.50 per hour + tips The Carson Center is looking for energetic and professional Event Bartenders to join our hospitality team. In this role, you are more than just a drink maker; you are a brand ambassador who delivers high-end, friendly service during theatre productions, concerts, weddings, private parties and corporate functions. Shifts are scheduled on an as-needed basis depending on our event calendar.
What You Can Expect Flexible Schedule:
Event-based, per-shift work ideal for supplemental income. Shifts typically range from 5 to 8 hours.
Hours:
Primarily evenings and weekends.
Work Environment:
Fast-paced, dynamic, and upscale event settings.
Key Responsibilities Beverage Service:
Accurately mix and pour alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, including beer, wine, spirits, and signature event cocktails, following standard recipes.
Guest Interaction:
Greet guests warmly, take orders efficiently, and provide exceptional, personalized customer service.
Cash & POS Handling:
Process credit card and cash transactions accurately using a POS system, maintaining a balanced cash drawer.
Bar Maintenance:
Restock bar inventory, manage ice and glassware, and keep the workspace clean, sanitary, and organized throughout the event.
Event Wrap-Up:
Assist with breakdown, inventory checks, and end-of-shift cleaning or restocking duties.
Safety & Compliance:
Check legal ID, monitor guest consumption responsibly, and adhere to local and state liquor laws.
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
Some bartending experience required with high-volume, or banquet/event environment experience a plus but not required.
Age Requirement:
Must be at least 21 years old.
Certifications:
Valid STAR alcohol server certification required or must be obtainable upon hire.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to stand and walk for 5-8 hours per shift and safely lift and move up to 50 lbs (such as cases of liquor, ice buckets). Ability to push Mobile Bars and Coolers.
