A Bartender mixes and prepares cocktails and serves drinks to customers. Works with other wait staff in a bar or restaurant; checks to be sure that customers are legal drinking age. May work at private parties.
We are looking for an energetic, professional, and customer-focused Bartender to join our restaurant team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cocktails, beer, wine, spirits, and responsible alcohol service while creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for every guest.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, mocktails, and other beverages accurately and consistently. Provide friendly, attentive, and professional service to bar and restaurant guests. Engage with customers, make beverage recommendations, and help increase bar sales through excellent product knowledge and suggestive selling. Maintain a clean, organized, fully stocked, and visually appealing bar throughout each shift. Follow all recipes, portion standards, and alcohol-control procedures. Verify identification and comply with all applicable alcohol-service laws and restaurant policies. Accurately enter orders, process payments, and manage guest checks through the POS system. Monitor inventory levels and communicate low-stock or product needs to management. Assist with opening and closing duties, including stocking, cleaning, sanitizing, and securing the bar. Work closely with servers, barbacks, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth service. Maintain a positive attitude and remain composed and efficient during busy service periods. Help create new cocktails, seasonal drink specials, and promotions when requested. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards. Handle guest concerns professionally and involve management when necessary.
Qualifications:
Previous bartending or restaurant experience is preferred. Candidates should have strong communication and customer-service skills, be dependable, punctual, team-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Weekend and evening availability is important. We are looking for someone who wants to do more than simply make drinks—someone who can build relationships with guests, create an exciting bar atmosphere, drive beverage sales, and grow with the restaurant.
