GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Provide prompt and courteous food and beverage service according to established hotel standards and procedures.
ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS
Prepare and stock the bar of all food, liquor, and beer products that will be needed for the shift. Know how to prepare and serve all drinks available to guests. Greet guests promptly. Accurately and efficiently take beverage and food orders. Upsell established items or specials. Serve food and beverage to guest in a prompt and courteous manner. Report any problems immediately to the manager on duty. Prepare and complete guest payment in a timely manner. Complete all side work and associated duties as directed. Be familiar with the details and procedures for all bar special promotions. Monitor alcohol consumption of guests in accordance with state liquor laws and alcohol training. Safe and proper use of all chemicals associated with the job. Replenish and restock bar for next shift.

Perform other duties as required or directed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum level: High school diploma and Bartending school preferred. At least 2 years experience preferred. Must complete Alcohol Awareness training.
Interpersonal and customer service skills:
Ability to operate within a fast paced, ever changing environment while maintaining a positive and cheerful attitude. Handle guest complaints and bring to a positive conclusion. Communicate with Kitchen personnel to ensure guest satisfaction. Handle intoxicated guests according to alcohol training guidelines.
Equipment used:
Bar computer system, basic kitchen equipment.
PHYSICAL PARAMETERS
Requires extensive use of fingers and hands. Repeatedly lift and carry trays distances up to 200 feet, some weighing up to 30lbs, beer kegs, liquor, ice buckets, etc. Requires bending, stooping and reaching. Requires continuous standing and walking. Must be able to hear and speak to facilitate communication with guests and/or department employees.
