Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and dynamic Special Event Bartender to elevate our guests' experience at a variety of events, including weddings, corporate functions, galas, and private parties. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will craft signature cocktails, manage bar operations efficiently, and ensure every guest feels welcomed and satisfied. Duties Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair, ensuring adherence to all food safety and alcohol service regulations. Engage with guests in a friendly, energetic manner, providing excellent customer service while taking orders and offering recommendations. Manage bar inventory, restocking supplies as needed, and accurately handle cash or POS transactions using systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area throughout the event, following proper food handling and sanitation procedures. Collaborate with event coordinators and catering staff to ensure seamless service during set-up, event duration, and breakdown. Monitor guest behavior responsibly to promote safety and prevent over-serving; intervene when necessary with tact and professionalism. Utilize strong time management skills to serve multiple tables efficiently during high-volume events while maintaining a lively atmosphere. Requirements Proven experience as a bartender in fine dining establishments, nightclubs, banquet settings, or catering environments is highly desirable. Demonstrated knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for accurate sales processing. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while maintaining professionalism. Strong understanding of food safety standards, food handling procedures, and responsible alcohol service practices. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently through effective time management skills; experience in retail math or hospitality math is beneficial. Previous experience working at nightclubs or large-scale events is preferred; banquet experience is a plus. Familiarity with beverage preparation techniques including brewing or mixing cocktails; knowledge of the food industry standards is advantageous. Basic math skills for cash handling, sales calculations, and inventory management are essential. Must be adaptable to flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and special event hours.
