Job Description

The New England House restaurant in Wells Maine is seeking servers . New England House is a fun, and exciting restaurant. We are looking for servers and bartenders who have a passion for hospitality, enjoy the service industry and love food and beverage. Pepper's promotes a friendly environment, serving great seafood to an amazing loyal customer base. We source many of our ingredients from local purveyors and use only the highest quality available. Our ideal candidates will have previous experience, possess a fun and personable attitude, want a flexible schedule, are punctual and have reliable transportation. The servers and bartender positions must be able to provide service to the guests to the set specifications and standards while maintaining composure, poise and hygienic practices. Servers and Bartenders also arranges, prepares and break downs the stations, storage areas and refrigerators. And makes sure all are maintained at the beginning and end of every day/night. . Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Greeting guests Taking customer orders Set up dining/bar area Have knowledge of the menu (food and beverages) Wine knowledge Beer knowledge Notify management in advance of likely shortages Serve menu items compliant with established standards Use food preparation tools in accordance with manufactures instructions Close the FOH areas at the end of shifts Maintain a prepared and sanitary work area at all times Keep the work area fresh all through the shift Make sure all storage areas are tidy and all products are stored appropriately Constantly use safe and hygienic food handling practices Taking /bagging take out orders Returns dirty food preparation utensils to the appropriate areas Assist with all duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively. Prior experience in a fast paced environment, while providing great service Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds. Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time. Must have exceptional hygiene and grooming habits. Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
