$15.29 to $17.20 plus tips with average tips being $16.76 per hour. No Driver's License Required. Must be at least 18 years of age is required. 3 years' experience in bartending is required. 1 year Supervisory/Management experience is required. Food handler's certification is required; if not certified at the time of hire; employee must become certified within 6 months of hire, employment is contingent upon certification. Knowledge of applicable safety rules, sanitation standards, and health code regulations is required. Must have excellent interpersonal service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor. Experience in operating a cash register and making credit and cash transactions is preferred. Demonstrated experience in proper wine service is preferred. Maintains a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to Casino standards. Must meet the requirements of the Minnesota Chippewa Tribal Liquor Ordinance. Alcohol Awareness Training is required and will be provided. Operations are conducted seven days a week; 24 hours a day; and on holidays. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing is required. Ability to work independently and establish priorities is required. Attention to detail and accuracy is required. Ability to establish professional and harmonious working relationships on all projects and with all parties involved. Subject to drug and alcohol testing in accordance with the Fond du Lac Reservation's Personnel Policies. Subject to pre-employment and annual background checks. Some travel may be required.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT
Walking, standing, bending, stooping, climbing, pushing and pulling are required. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds is required. Subject to inside environmental conditions, including work in a smoking environment. Subject to outside environmental conditions, including work in adverse weather. Plans, organizes and directs the activities of the bar and beverage services. Participates in marketing the beverage department, increasing sales. Coordinates staff activities with the food and beverage manager, to include training and orientation. Assists in developing and implementing written policies and procedures. May be included in the selection of beverage staff. Assists in performance evaluations of direct reports as well as applying progressive disciplinary action. Must use fact-based decision making, involving other departments as necessary to ensure positive impact and resolution. The Lead Bartender must be a role model in attendance, management and customer service. This position must provide leadership and teamwork within the department. Direct and schedule all daily work activities of assigned personnel within the beverage department. Attend necessary meetings and trainings. Must attend all required Title 31 and/or SAR trainings. Ensures confidentiality of financial records and all records for employees and/or clients. Orders, making sure there is adequate stock on hand. Ensures bar areas are supplied with the necessary inventories and supplies and completes necessary inventory forms for control and reordering purposes. Adheres to established guidelines that all inventory activity is kept in compliance with current Casino Hotel Alcoholic Beverage Control and all other applicable regulations. Assists in delivering supplies to bar areas, keeps bar and equipment clean. Responsible for monitoring equipment, making sure everything is in working condition. Lead Bartender is responsible for safeguarding all assets under their control. Responsible and accountable for all cash advances and sales. Complete all necessary documentation. Builds a strong cohesive team by creating an environment of teamwork and lateral service. Works closely with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of service for our guests. Ensure that beverages are prepared and served according to desired portions and quality specifications. Ensure all beverages are served responsibly, verifying legal drinking age and adhering to alcohol service policies. Schedules and works staff breaks and shifts assigned. Responsible for quality control during assigned shifts. Mixes and serves all types of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to order following a variety of established recipes. Delivers drink to beverage waitperson or serves directly to the customer. Also provides food preparation service. Ensures proper cleaning and maintenance of equipment, tools, materials and vehicles utilized per work site; ensures adherence to principles and practices of safe use and operation of equipment, tools, materials and vehicles. Displays a responsive and professional manner in promptly responding to all requests, complaints, and problems. Recognizes that each employee is a representative of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and is responsible for demonstrating courtesy, respect, and sensitivity to the needs of all others, including visitors and co-workers. Represents the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and the department in a positive and professional manner in the community. Required to maintain proper attendance including reporting to work on time in accordance with applicable policies. Maintains a clean and organized work area.
