Job Description

Bilingual Barn Attendant Harpley's Meat Packing Inc. (Randolph Packing Company) is seeking a dependable Bilingual Barn Attendant to assist with the safe and humane handling of livestock at our beef processing facility. Responsibilities Receive and unload livestock safely and humanely. Move and sort cattle using approved humane-handling practices. Communicate instructions clearly in both English and Spanish. Inspect pens, gates, alleys, and livestock-handling equipment. Monitor animals for signs of injury, illness, or distress and immediately report concerns. Maintain accurate livestock and receiving records. Keep barns, pens, walkways, and unloading areas clean and organized. Follow animal-welfare, food-safety, biosecurity, and workplace-safety procedures. Assist USDA personnel, supervisors, and other departments as needed. Complete required training and follow all company policies. Qualifications Must be able to communicate effectively in English and Spanish. Livestock or cattle-handling experience is preferred. Knowledge of humane animal-handling practices is preferred. Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to follow instructions. Must be comfortable working around large animals. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical and Work Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to bend, reach, climb, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to work outdoors and in hot, cold, wet, muddy, and noisy conditions. Ability to work safely around livestock, moving equipment, and uneven surfaces. Must wear required personal protective equipment.
Pay:
$16.00 - $20.00 per hour
