We're a wine-and-beer focused bar, no hard liquor or cocktail program, with a rotating selection of 6 beers on tap, a wide range of wines by the glass and bottle, and domestic beers by the bottle. You'll be the face of the bar experience: pouring, recommending, taking food orders, and making sure guests across the bar, patio, and market seating areas feel taken care of. We're a small space that can hold around 50 guests across the whole footprint on our busiest nights (live music Fridays, half-price wine Tuesdays), so this role moves and won't be stuck behind one counter all night. Per hour + tips (lion share % split between front and back) Schedule Bar shifts, days/evenings based on need — will include Tuesdays (half-price wine) and Fridays (live music), our two highest-volume nights. We are only open Saturday for lunch as far as weekend hours go. Hours are flexible and subject to change based on business volume and events. Communicate clearly and work closely with kitchen to keep service running smoothly during busy stretches Qualifications Previous bartending or serving experience, ideally in a bar, restaurant, or wine-focused environment Working knowledge of wine (varietals, regions, basic pairing) preferred Comfortable and confident interacting with guests — this is a hospitality-first role Ability to multitask and stay organized during high-volume nights (live music, half-price promos) Basic math and cash-handling accuracy Must be 18+ High school diploma required Strong communication and teamwork skills — this role works closely with kitchen, servers, and market staff Flexible schedule About REAL Kitchen & Market Located in the historic Old Emerywood neighborhood of High Point, NC, REAL Kitchen & Market is a boutique restaurant, wine bar, and gourmet market known for scratch-made food, warm atmosphere, and doing it all under one roof — dinner service, a 60+ item foods-to-go menu, full-service catering, and a retail market case.
