Hourly + tips The Short Version 18•21 is a reservation-only, members-only cocktail lounge rooted in Prohibition-era style and serious about the craft. We're hiring a mixologist for Saturday nights — our flagship evening. If you geek out over balanced specs, house-made ingredients, and making someone's night with a perfectly executed Old Fashioned, keep reading. A Little More About Us We're intentionally small. No bottle service, no shot specials, no 200-person crowds. Our members make reservations, settle into an intimate space, and trust us to put something exceptional in front of them. The menu rotates seasonally and features house-made syrups, fresh ingredients, and quality spirits. Every seat matters and every drink should reflect that. What Saturday Nights Look Like You'll be behind the bar solo, moving through a full reservation book while keeping each drink dialed in and each guest engaged. Specifically, you'll: Set the tone for the evening with genuine, attentive hospitality Handle full open and close: prep, stock, garnish work before service; cleaning, storing, cash reconciliation, and reset after Go beyond the menu when the moment calls for it — craft drinks tailored to a guest's palate and preferences Keep your station sharp and organized even when every seat is full Flag any inventory or equipment issues to ownership You'd Be a Great Fit If You… Have 2+ years behind the bar with meaningful time in a craft cocktail or specialty environment Can talk through a Negroni variation as easily as you can build one Take pride in working clean, fast, and consistent — especially when it's busy Enjoy genuine hospitality and know how to read a room (some guests want conversation, some want to be left alone with their drink) Are self-sufficient and dependable — Saturday nights aren't optional Hold a current NC Seller/Server Training Certification (or are willing to get one before your first shift) Are 21 or older Why This Gig Is Different No high-volume chaos — busy here means a full reservation book, not a packed nightclub You'll work with ingredients and spirits you'd actually want to drink Consistent, predictable schedule — every Saturday, same time An ownership group that values your skill and treats you like a professional, not a number Sound like your kind of bar?
