Job Description
We are seeking a Bartender for our Four Points by Sheraton Raleigh Durham Airport ! As a Bartender at Daly Seven , you play a key role in delivering an exceptional guest experience by maintaining a clean, welcoming bar environment. This position is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food and beverages while demonstrating personal ownership over guest satisfaction, service excellence, and overall hotel standards. What You'll Do Guest Service & Operations Greet all guests promptly with eye contact, a warm welcome, and proactive assistance. Prepare and serve beverage and food orders accurately and efficiently. Deliver room service orders directly to guest rooms as needed. Maintain clear communication across shifts using oral handoffs and daily log books. Cross-train and assist other departments during peak operational times or short-staffed situations. Financial Responsibility & Cash Handling Secure payment for all guest orders, ensuring correct room numbers are logged to prevent non-payment. Manage the cash drawer accurately, perform accurate change transactions, and balance end-of-shift reports. Sanitation, Stocking, & Compliance Maintain clean, organized storage and bar service areas in alignment with quality standards. Perform frequent handwashing and strictly adhere to local, state, and federal health codes. Monitor supply levels, conduct inventory counts, and communicate restocking needs to management. Strictly enforce alcohol service laws by verifying guest age prior to service and monitoring guest intoxication levels to cut off service responsibly when necessary. Ensure Safety & Security Act as an active member of the hotel security team by reporting safety hazards, injuries, or incidents. Complete Incident Reports (for guests) or Accident Reports (for employees) promptly when manager is off-site. Maintain awareness of emergency shut-offs (gas, electric, water, breakers) and emergency light locations. Qualifications High school diploma required. Minimum 1 year of bartending experience, preferable in a hotel setting. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 30 pounds, bend, stoop, and regularly navigate stairs. Schedule Ability to work a schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays, typically from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
