Job Summary We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Bartender to join our pub located in Astoria, NY. The ideal candidate will have bartending experience, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This role involves preparing and serving drinks, maintaining a clean and organized bar area, and ensuring an exceptional experience for all patrons. Prior bartending experience is highly valued, along with proficiency in POS systems. The bartender will play a key role in delivering outstanding service in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating strong time management and sales skills. Duties Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their overall experience Manage cash handling, POS transactions, and billing accurately Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards Restock supplies as needed and monitor inventory levels to ensure smooth operations Uphold responsible alcohol service practices, including checking IDs and monitoring guest consumption Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during busy hours, including nightclubs or hospitality events Follow all food safety protocols related to food handling and beverage preparation Contribute to a lively atmosphere by understanding the nuances of nightlife or hospitality environments Requirements Proven beverage service, preferably within a bar/pub settings Familiarity wit Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively during peak hours Excellent customer service skills with an emphasis on hospitality and guest satisfaction Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and calculating bills or tips accurately Ability to serve alcohol responsibly by adhering to legal requirements and company policies Flexibility to work nights, weekends, or special event shifts as needed
