Take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast POS , ensuring all requests are met with precision. Provide detailed menu knowledge to guests, including specials and recommendations to enhance their dining experience through effective upselling techniques. Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery while adhering to food safety regulations. Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and managing cash handling procedures. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the dining area, including bussing tables efficiently between guest visits. Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction and foster positive guest relations. Requirements Previous experience in a restaurant or fine dining environment is preferred, showcasing your familiarity with the food industry. Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating positive guest experiences through effective communication. Culinary experience is a plus, enhancing your ability to engage with guests about menu offerings confidently. Proficient in time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy shifts. Basic math skills required for accurate cash handling and order processing. Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards is essential for maintaining a safe dining environment. Experience with OpenTable or similar reservation systems is advantageous for managing guest seating effectively.
