In Room Dining Server Reports to : Restaurant Manager /Food and Beverage Director Job Summary :
The In Room Dining Server is responsible for taking the guests through the Lake House Experience. As an In Room Dining Server, you will be assuming the role of communicator, decision-maker, entertainer, all while proactively providing an experience to our guests.Essential Functions :
Setup Food and Beverage areas to include linen, service ware and glassware. Serve food and/or beverages in a professional manner. Greeting guests and respond to requests in a friendly and courteous manner. Promptly serve In Room Dining following the proper steps of service. Follow up on tray removal from the guest's rooms. Making proficient sales transactions within Infogenesis. Running Food. Handling cash & other forms of payment. Properly checking Id's for guests who order alcohol. Demonstrate responsible alcohol service. Demonstrate impeccable product knowledge both Food and Beverage. Perform opening, closing & side duties such as setting up/ breaking down station, refilling condiments, cleaning, setting up trays for next service. Knowledge of all buildings on site and room numbers. Create "WOW" moments by collecting detailed information along the way. Perform any other job-related duties as assigned. Maintain a clean work area. Required to be able to work varying schedules from time to time. All employees are required to attend all scheduled training and departmental sessions. Arrive in assigned work area on time in full, clean and pressed assigned uniform for scheduled shift. Perform and complete all assigned tasks by management. Be totally familiar with hotel operations/locations and be able to direct guests and answer guest questions about general facility.Job Requirements :
One year's experience required in previous server position. Must be able to demonstrate effective communication. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift 50lbs.
