Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Greet and interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Take customer orders and prepare a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
- Provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely and accurate order delivery
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area
- Monitor alcohol consumption and prevent over-intoxication
- Upsell drink specials and promote new menu items
- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth operation of the bar
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a bartender or in a similar role preferred
- Strong knowledge of different types of alcoholic beverages, cocktail recipes, and drink presentation
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage with customers in a positive manner
- Basic math skills for cash handling and calculating drink prices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of safety and sanitation regulations related to food and beverage service
- Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcoholic beverages
Skills:
- Sales skills to upsell drink specials and promote new menu items
- Retail math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating drink prices
- Restaurant experience to understand the dynamics of working in a food and beverage establishment
- Catering experience is a plus for handling large events or parties
- Cash register operation for processing customer payments accurately
- Brewing knowledge for preparing specialty coffee or tea beverages
- Ability to work well in a team environment, providing assistance when needed
- Math skills for accurately measuring ingredients and calculating drink proportions
- Cash handling skills for processing payments and giving change accurately
- Hospitality skills to provide excellent customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere
