Job Description

Overview Stonecloud Brewing Company is looking for an outgoing, dependable, and hardworking Beertender to join our taproom team. Beertenders are responsible for creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for every guest while providing knowledgeable and responsible beverage service. This is more than just pouring beer. Our Beertenders are involved in the day-to-day operation of the taproom, including serving guests, maintaining a clean and organized space, stocking products and supplies, handling cash and transactions, changing kegs, and completing opening and closing responsibilities. We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in keeping a clean and well-run bar, can work independently, and is interested in developing their knowledge of craft beer. Stonecloud places an emphasis on continued beer education through sensory testing, classes, and brewery experiences. Duties Provide friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable service to taproom guests. Take guest orders and serve draft beer, packaged beer, non-alcoholic beverages, snacks, and other available products. Learn Stonecloud's beer offerings and help guests choose beers based on their tastes and preferences. Check identification and follow all applicable laws and company policies regarding responsible alcohol service. Recognize signs of intoxication and responsibly discontinue alcohol service when necessary. Accurately ring in purchases, collect payments, handle cash, and maintain accountability for transactions. Assist with opening and closing the taproom, including setting up and balancing the cash drawer, preparing the bar for service, and properly securing the taproom at the end of the night. Complete end-of-day cash, tip, and deposit procedures accurately and report discrepancies to management. Maintain a clean, organized, and guest-ready taproom throughout each shift. Wash and polish glassware and clean bar equipment, draft areas, sinks, tables, counters, restrooms, and other taproom areas. Sweep, mop, take out trash and recycling, and complete assigned daily and periodic cleaning duties. Stock and organize beer, wine, non-alcoholic beverages, snacks, merchandise, glassware, and other bar supplies. Restock and rotate packaged beer and other products appropriately. Change, move, and organize kegs and maintain an orderly keg and cooler area. Set up and maintain guest areas, including the taproom, lobby, patio, and other service areas as needed. Help maintain a fun, welcoming, and safe environment for guests and coworkers. Participate in taproom meetings, deep cleans, beer education, sensory training, and other staff training. Represent Stonecloud professionally at off-premise events , including beer festivals, farmers markets, and other community events Safely lift and move kegs, cases of beer, and event supplies as required. Follow all Stonecloud safety procedures and promptly communicate safety concerns, injuries, equipment issues, or operational problems to management. Perform additional taproom duties as needed to support smooth daily operations.
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 30.0 per week
