The Position Bartenders deliver a premier lounge experience at EMBER Premium Cigar Lounge — crafting exceptional classic and signature cocktails, curating spirit pairings, and cultivating a welcoming, sophisticated atmosphere for our guests.

Core Responsibilities include:

Craft & Beverage Service:

Prepare and serve handcrafted cocktails, premium spirits, wines, and draft/bottled beverages with precision, elegance, and speed.

Flavor Pairing & Recommendations:

Assist guests with spirit and beverage selections, specifically offering recommendations that complement various cigar profiles.

Guest Relations:

Build rapport with regulars and first-time guests alike, maintaining an inviting and attentive atmosphere.

Bar Operations:

Manage opening/closing duties, bar setup, prep (juices, syrups, garnishes), inventory tracking, and glass sanitization.

POS & Transaction Handling:

Accurately process orders, member tabs, and payments through the point-of-sale system, Toast POS.

Compliance & Safety:

Maintain strict adherence to local liquor laws, age verification requirements, and responsible alcohol service standards.

Cleanliness & Presentation:

Ensure the bar counter, backbar, glassware, and immediate lounge seating remain immaculate throughout the shift.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills Experience:

2+ years of bartending experience, preferably in an upscale or craft cocktail establishment.

Beverage Expertise:

Strong foundational knowledge of classic cocktails, premium and craft spirits, and beer.

Hospitality Focus:

Exceptional interpersonal skills with a polished, professional demeanor and strong verbal communication.

Point-of-Sale:

Working knowledge of Toast POS.

Cigar Education:

Willingness to complete Tobacconist University's Cigar Sommelier program.

Schedule:

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts.

Required Abilities :

Legally work in the United States. Comply with all company policies and procedures. Obtain and retain necessary licensing (ABLE liquor license). Strict adherence to local, state, and federal tobacco and alcohol sales regulations. Communicate clearly and effectively. Operate store equipment, including a Point-of-Sale system, cash registers, computers, and handheld devices. Handle monetary transactions and count money. Stand, walk, and move around for up to 100% of working time. Withstand working in an indoor smoking environment. Bend at the waist, squat, kneel, reach, stoop, and climb ladders.
