The Upper Crust:

A Sophisticated Modern Vibe Located in its elegantly restored downtown location, the Upper Crust has a sophisticated modern vibe, with a little retro-industrial thrown in for good measure. Playful pops of color abound with many of the building's original architectural elements reused in new and inventive ways. An open-air kitchen and three exquisite wood-fired ovens invite guests to watch the chefs prepare the seasonal menu with panache. The staff's singular focus is taking care of the guests — neighbors, friends, family — and creating a place for everyone to eat well and connect. The front area of the 10,000 square foot restaurant, with garage doors that open to York Street in the warmer months, is the main dining area, the back area behind the kitchen and the lovingly restored bar, is the place to relax with casual seating, 4K TV, and vintage Skee-Ball and basketball games. Server Responsibilities Provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all of our guests. Each server's primary objective is to show our guests such a marvelous time, that they will want to return Check guests' identification to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages Present menus to guests and answer questions about menu items, beverages, and other restaurant functions and services Inform guests of menu changes and daily specials, and make recommendations you genuinely feel your guests will enjoy Explain to guests how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods Describe and recommend wines to guests Must have a team-first mentality and a love of people, learning, and food

Experience:

1-2 years prior experience in an upscale casual dining environment
