About Us:
Passerine is an upscale restaurant, bar, and bottle shop that showcases the regional producers of theSusquehanna River Valley and celebrates their hard work and abundance of fresh ingredients. Our mission is to create a culture of equitable hospitality, cultivate an environment of communal learning, and showcase the best of our region through meaningful food, beverage, and conversation.Position Overview:
As part of our Service team, you will play a pivotal role in offering our guests an unforgettable dining experience. You'll not only serve thoughtful dishes and beverages but also act as a storyteller, sharing the rich narratives behind the local ingredients and producers that make our menu truly special.Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their needs are met promptly and courteously.
- Present our menu offerings, including food and beverage, with enthusiasm and deep knowledge of the Susquehanna River Valley region's culinary heritage.
- Share the stories of local producers, ingredients, and the journey behind each dish or beverage.
- Suggest wine, beer, and spirit pairings to enhance the overall dining experience.
- Prepare and serve drinks and cocktails with precision and creativity.
- Ensure the bar and dining area are well-maintained, clean, and organized at all times.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and other staff to ensure a seamless and memorable dining experience for our guests.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a high-end restaurant or bar setting is preferred but not required; a strong passion for food and beverages is a must.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused attitude.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
- Proficiency in handling cash and processing payments.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
