Job Summary Gather Food Hall + Bulletin Bar is seeking an experienced, energetic Bar Lead to help oversee daily bar operations at our University City location. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys being behind the bar, interacting with guests, supporting the team, and maintaining strong operating standards. Located at Schuylkill Yards near 30th Street Station, Gather combines a diverse food-hall experience with Bulletin Bar, special events, sports viewing, private functions, live entertainment, and community programming. Responsibilities Lead and motivate the bartending team to deliver outstanding service while maintaining a lively and welcoming atmosphere Oversee daily bar operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards Develop and refine beverage recipes, craft signature cocktails, and stay current with industry trends to keep our offerings fresh and exciting Manage POS systems such as Toast POS for processing cash transactions accurately and efficiently Ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed during shifts, including balancing registers and reconciling sales Provide training on bartending techniques, customer service excellence, food handling, and responsible alcohol service Maintain a clean, organized bar area while adhering to health regulations and safety protocols Collaborate with kitchen staff on food pairing suggestions and coordinate catering or banquet services when needed Qualifications Proven experience in bartending with a strong background in cocktail mixing, spirits knowledge, wine expertise, and beverage recipe development Prior leadership or supervisory experience as a Lead Bartender or Bar Manager in fine dining establishments or hospitality environments Extensive knowledge of POS systems such as Toast POS ; proficiency in processing transactions accurately Demonstrated ability in time management to handle busy service periods efficiently while maintaining quality standards Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic approach that enhances guest experiences Familiarity with food safety regulations, food handling procedures, and responsible alcohol service practices Experience working in diverse settings including nightclubs, banquet halls, or catering environments is highly desirable Strong math skills for retail math calculations related to sales, cash handling, and inventory control Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as required by hospitality industry demands What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is hands-on, proactive and guest-focused . Pay:
$13.00 - $17.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 per week
