Job Overview Position Overview We are hiring a reliable, alert, and team-oriented Bar Security Support / Barback . This hybrid position is primarily responsible for monitoring the front entrance and interior of the bar while assisting bartenders with essential support tasks. This is a support and prevention role—not the primary security authority . Armed security stationed in the rear parking lot will take the lead on serious incidents, removals, threats, or physical confrontations. The Bar Security Support / Barback will observe, communicate, de-escalate when safe, and promptly contact management or armed security when assistance is needed. Door and Security Support Responsibilities Maintain a visible, professional presence at the front entrance and throughout the interior. Monitor guest activity and watch for unsafe behavior, escalating tensions, prohibited items, or other concerns. Check identification and assist with entrance policies when assigned and legally permitted. Monitor occupancy and help control entry during busy periods. Politely explain house rules and entrance requirements. Immediately communicate concerns to management and armed security. Assist armed security when requested and when it is safe and appropriate. Use calm communication to help prevent situations from escalating. Help maintain clear entrances, exits, aisles, and emergency pathways. Document or report incidents accurately to management. Follow all company procedures and applicable laws. Role Boundaries Armed security is the primary authority for serious security situations. Do not pursue individuals or initiate unnecessary physical contact. Do not attempt to independently handle weapons, violence, major disturbances, or dangerous guests. Prioritize observation, communication, de-escalation, and requesting assistance. Physical intervention is limited to lawful situations covered by company policy and training. Barback Responsibilities Retrieve ice, bottles, mixers, glassware, and other supplies from storage. Keep bartenders stocked during busy periods. Monitor product levels and communicate restocking needs. Remove empty bottles, trash, and used glassware safely. Maintain clean, organized bar and service areas. Assist with opening, shift-change, and closing tasks. Clean spills promptly or notify the appropriate team member. Help maintain safe, unobstructed walkways. Support bartenders without leaving the entrance or assigned security area unattended. Coordinate coverage before stepping away from the front door. Pay:

$14.00 - $17.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 17.0 per week
