Job Description
The Barn at Aspen Acres is a wedding and event venue located between Belle Fourche and Spearfish, in the Northern Black Hills of South Dakota. We are a business that prides ourselves on professionalism, cleanliness, and honesty, providing a work environment that is rewarding and supportive. We offer on-the-job training, a safe work environment, and have a casual dress code. We are looking for an Evening Event Lead + Bartender to join our team! Persons in this position will be responsible for helping with the execution of weddings and events. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and a passion for people. The candidate needs to have confidence in dealing with and calling out any issues that may arise during a wedding, like fake IDs, or dealing with outside alcohol. This position will be a combination of event lead shifts, and bartending shifts. Job Duties include, but are not limited to: Being the venue point-of contact during the event Bartending Managing a small team of event staff Assisting with set-up and tear-down on wedding days Providing customer service to guests at events Making sure guests are following venue rules Occasionally dealing with bar tabs/money management Communication with event staff and Barn owner Moving tables and chairs, and re-setting The Barn after guests have left Making sure everyone is off the premises by midnight, and that the venue is locked and secure before leaving Checking vehicles at the end of the night for intoxicated individuals Other miscellaneous cleaning tasks in-between serving and assisting guests
