Job Description

Thistlewood is seeking experienced, professional, and hospitality-focused bartenders to join our event team. Our bartenders are responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences at weddings, quinceañeras, corporate events, and private celebrations while maintaining a polished and efficient bar service. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced event environment, can work independently, and understands the importance of professionalism when serving guests during once-in-a-lifetime celebrations. Responsibilities Prepare and serve beer, wine, and signature cocktails according to event specifications Provide outstanding customer service while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor Set up, stock, and break down bar stations Verify guest age and comply with all TABC regulations Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace throughout the event Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs to the event team Work collaboratively with venue staff, caterers, DJs, photographers, and other vendors Manage guest interactions professionally and confidently during high-volume service periods Qualifications Minimum 5 years of bartending experience required Previous wedding, event, or high-volume bartending experience strongly preferred Current TABC Certification required Strong knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and cocktail preparation Excellent customer service and communication skills Reliable transportation and punctual attendance Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds Availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays What We're Looking For Professional appearance and positive attitude Dependable and self-motivated Strong attention to detail Ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure Team player who is committed to creating an exceptional guest experience Compensation & Schedule $20/hour Part-time, contract position Primarily evening and weekend events Opportunities for recurring event bookings throughout the year
Pay:
From $20.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 12.0 per week
