Job Description
General Purpose of the
Job:
As a Bartender, you must be friendly, outgoing and possess good communication skills. A guest's dinner and/or bar experience should be equally enjoyable, and you play a major role in the overall picture. Remember, consistency is a key element in a positive experience. We achieve this by always following recipes. Your individual personality should shine through- use it to your advantage.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all drink recipes, syrups and infusions.
- Follow beer handling and receiving guidelines
- Welcome each guests personally within 30 seconds
- Make guests feel appreciated through your actions.
- Work as a team with all personnel to maintain an effective atmosphere and an efficient food and beverage service.
- Work with others to keep all areas always cleaned and stocked to Tin Star Standards.
- Mix, garnish and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for patrons of bar and dining room following standard recipes.
- Ring drink orders into computer immediately, collect money from guests for drinks served and make change.
- Arrange bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display in agreement with Tin Star's standards.
- Be attentive! Offer your assistance before the guests must ask for it.
- Always place current bar tabs in front of Guests.
- Be alert of guest signals (raising a hand, looking directly at you, etc.), and acknowledge the guest so they know you will be right with them.
- Learn your guests' names, occupations, and favorite drinks. This will make Tin Star a special place for them.
- Other duties as directed.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of FIFO inventory method.
- Basic knowledge of beer, wine and spirits, and be familiar with standard drink recipes.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Organizational skills with the ability to multi task
- Knowledge of Tin Star's food & beverage specifications.
- Knowledge of workplace safety procedures.
- State applicable health and/or alcohol compliance card.

- Standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods of time and ensuring a professional appearance in a clean uniform are also required.
Pay:
$2.13- $7.
